How can you occupy a white surface, bring it to life (etymologically: give it a soul)?

The space of the leaf is totally dramatised, all emotions can be exaggerated here. But it is also an undramatized place where the characters play without complexes and without inhibitions. It really is a kind of travelling theatre or a portable workshop.
